Summary

This role is responsible for ensuring the proper electrical functioning of plant equipment and machinery and to troubleshoot any electrical/electronic malfunctioning and complete appropriate repairs and maintenance.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

* Maintain and repair all existing electrical/electronic equipment in the production areas
* Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment
* Operate mechanical tasks as directed by supervisor
* Prepare maintenance reports for management as directed
* Maintain strict documentation of all plant electrical circuitry
* Provide general lead electrician support
* Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly schematic drawings
* Diagnose and test malfunctioning machinery and discuss malfunction with other facility personnel
* Replace or repair faulty electrical/electronic components of a machine
* Calibrate and adjust all electrical/electronic equipment according to manufacturers specifications
* Do minor programming and maintenance for programmable logic controller based equipment
* Maintain proper stock of tools and electrical parts to perform routine work
* All other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

Requirements / Education / Experience

* Associates degree or completion of Technical School and Apprenticeship program or equivalent in training, experience, and education
* Minimum of 5 years industrial experience in electrical support functions
* Must have been employed as an electrician or electrician apprentice within the past 18 months
* Must be knowledgeable of OSHA safety requirements, especially those related to electrical/electronic operations and components
* Able to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints
* Working knowledge of three phase motors, programmable controls, circuits, computer interfaces and National Electrical Code

Physical Environment

* Ability to lift, push or pull 60 pounds or more
* Requires often climbing, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, and twisting
* Able to use tools and equipment to repair and provide maintenance while standing, crouching, stretching, extending extremities and under extreme work environments

Job Description Summary

The role will be responsible for performing routine tests as required on raw materials, in process components and final product. The candidate will participate in the validation of tests, inspections, processing methods and materials qualifications. Position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of Quality Control functions including, but not limited to, the following:

* Perform daily compressive strength testing of hardened concrete specimens
* Assist when necessary with strip, setup, and pouring of products
* Perform daily pre/post pour inspections on products
* Inspect in-process and finished goods against quality standards
* Inspect loaded trailers for final inspection and complete load certifications as needed
* Record keeping of inspection and testing results
* Work with appropriate Manufacturing, Engineering and Project Management Personnel to develop root cause and implement corrective action
* Participate in development and implantation of Quality Manual to meet regulatory agency requirements
* Ensure entire facility meets specifications set forth by area Departments of Transportation
* Collect, analyze, develop and present appropriate quality data, statistics, information and action plans
* Complies with all health and safety guidelines
* Communicate and interact with customers, suppliers as appropriate
* Other duties may be assigned as needed

Qualifications

Basic Summary of Position:

Individual is responsible for assisting Licensed Clinical Staff in assisting patients, maintaining overall cleanliness of the clinic, and ensuring clinic equipment is in working order. Facilities Technician / Handyman

Upstate company looking for an honest dependable full-time maintenance / grounds technician.
The ideal person would need to have experience in grounds maintenance, weed eating, tree trimming and general landscape upkeep.
An understanding and knowledge of operating larger tractors, capable of bush hogging fields is a plus.
A good driving record is a requirement.
Organization and attention to detail, required as this will be a new position.

* Weld (ARC, MIG) and use cutting torch
* Repair and replace gears, drives, bearings, belts, chains, shafts, etc.

* Electrical work including PLC troubleshooting, motor controls and circuit testing
* Repair/troubleshoot hydraulic cylinders, flow problems, solenoids and pumps

Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician

Sion Power, the global leader in the development of a new generation of high-energy, rechargeable lithium batteries for portable power is currently searching for an Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician to be based at its research and development facility in Tucson, Arizona. Sions exciting new technology is based on the elements lithium and sulfur, which when combined, yield a battery system with the highest theoretical gravimetric and volumetric energy densities of any battery couple, and offer significant improvements in performance over current rechargeable batteries.

Position Summary

In collaboration with the engineering team, this position will coordinate installations, repairs, and modifications for all vacuum deposition, web handling, winding, and coating and mixing equipment used in the production of Li-S batteries. The candidate will make recommendations for process equipment modifications and assist in the design, procurement, and fabrication of new process related equipment. Responsibilities also include assisting in writing equipment specifications as well as the implementation of routine maintenance procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for installation, commissioning, and maintenance of new and existing equipment.
Modify or improve assembly equipment as directed.
Work with other departments to identify and minimize systemic production problems or bottlenecks.
Assist in the development of preventive maintenance program for all equipment; develop critical spare parts list.
Maintain work instruction documents.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Five (5) years’ experience related to the development and maintenance of manufacturing equipment is required. Experience with web handling, vacuum deposition and/or coating systems highly desired, as is past machining experience.

Language Skills

Ability to speak and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, beneficiaries and customers, based on the assumption that such individuals can only speak and understand English.
Ability to present information to small groups of people also required.

Computer Literacy

The Candidate must be fluent in the use of personal computers for the standard office automation tasks (the windows environment and word processing, spread sheet, electronic mail, project management and presentation software) as well as for a variety of technical applications (CAD, CAD 3D, Solidworks).

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of the job, the employee will be required to regularly use a PC, telephone, fax machine, copy machine, lift objects, speak, hear, and write. The employee may need to work in a dry room (~-60 °C Dew Point) for six or more hours a day.
The employee may be required to handle and transport packaged chemicals. Working with potentially hazardous and/or toxic chemicals, with appropriate protective clothing and apparatus, though infrequent, is required.
The employee should be able to lift and move 25 pounds and could be called upon to lift or move up to 50 pounds on occasion.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the person will occasionally work near hazardous and/or toxic chemicals, energized electronic equipment, and office machines in both laboratory and office environments.

Travel

Occasional travel to vendors may be required.
