Business Area:

Empire Todays Market Operations team is an integral part of our company’s business strategy and include local personnel managing warehouses, product receipt and distribution, customer service, full life cycle of customer orders, and installation management.
This enables installers to deliver upon our commitment to our customers and support the success of Empire Today.

Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for handling all flooring inventory, including receiving, picking, staging, loading/unloading, transporting, and disposal in accordance with Company safety and operating policies and procedures.
This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.
* Perform material movement tasks for order filling, receiving, and loading and unloading
* Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas
* Sort and place material on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code
* Safely operate a forklift and/or other specialized machinery to move, load, unload, stack and remove materials from bins
* Accurately record amount of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate scanning equipment to read, store, query and track inventory
* Wear proper safety equipment and follow safety guidelines at all times
* Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
* Other duties as requested or assigned

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess:
* High School Diploma/GED.
* One year warehouse material movement experience
* Ability to operate a forklift
* Valid drivers license with a clear driving record required
* Ability to be flexible in a rapidly changing environment

Shift: First

This position is responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of the department with particular emphasis on managing warehouse associates and implementing warehouse action plans. Establish and maintain procedures for meeting company and customer commitments. Promote/implement continual improvement. Train, motivate, and lead within area of responsibility. Facilitate conflict resolution. Enforce company policies/procedures.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree, preferably in logistics management, or equivalent experience
* 2+ years of prior supervisory and planning experience in a distribution and/or inventory management environment
* Able to partner and communicate with all levels of an organization from hourly associates to senior management
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, warehouse management systems, and database systems
* Proven ability to multitask, set and manage priorities based on customer requirements
* Able to work a flexible work schedule as needed including planned and unplanned overtime which may include weekends
* Experience in AS9100 or ISO environment preferred

General Warehouse Worker

What does a Best Buy General Warehouse Worker do?

As a General Warehouse Worker, you will facilitate moving product throughout the distribution center through use of equipment in areas such as Receiving, Stocking, Shipping, Non-Con, Order Processing and Replenishment. Your responsibilities will include operating equipment in a safe manner, while making sure that you are maintaining a safe and clean working area and ensuring that our product is in perfect condition to sell to our customers. Warehouse Associates at XPO Logistics perform all tactical functions in the facility as assigned; including, receiving, staging, scanning, put-away, picking, returns preparation, trash removal, and facility clean up.
